U.S. Fish and Wildlife ServiceThis point layer was used in an educational StoryMap created by US Fish and Wildlife Service and Natural Resource Damage Assessment and Restoration Program in collaboration with students at William and Mary. Layer created by Mary Lawrence Young, William & Mary collaborator to USFWS. The map shows the locations of three hazardous waste sites affecting the landscape of Great Meadows Marsh (GMM). The three points represent three of natural resource damage settlements that provided money to fund the restoration of the Great Meadows Marsh. The original hazardous waste site data was provided as a KMZ file from the United States Fish and Wildlife Service, data was then exported into point layer for use in " FWS R5 NEFO Great Meadows Marsh Natural Resource Damage Settlements " map. Hazardous waste sites are Raymark Industries (1), Housatonic River (2), and Lordship Point (3).
