It is intended to help provide the public with information to determine whether or not air quality within a given area is healthy. Once designations take effect, they also become an important component of state, tribal and local governments' efforts to control criteria air pollutants. This dataset provides detailed information about areas identified in the U.S. where sulfur oxide levels have not met the National Ambient Air Quality Standards (NAAQS) established in 2010 for sulfur oxides and have been designated "nonattainment areas (NAA)." A second round of area designations was effective September 12, 2016. A supplement to the second round of area designations was effective January 17, 2017. A third round of area designations was effective April 9, 2018. A fourth round of area designations was effective April 30, 2021. These data are updated weekly from an OAQPS internal database. However, that does not necessarily mean the data have changed. For more information about this nonattainment area, please see the website https://www.epa.gov/green-book/green-book-sulfur-dioxide-2010-area-information.</dc:description><dc:format>ArcGIS FeatureLayer</dc:format><dc:identifier>https://hub.arcgis.com/datasets/79b3db5ebe7b4adeb6d30ebf379c881e_0</dc:identifier><dc:language>eng</dc:language><dc:publisher>IndianaMap</dc:publisher><dc:rights>Public</dc:rights><dc:title>SO2 1 hr Non Attainment Areas (2010 Standard) [Indiana]</dc:title><dc:type>Web services</dc:type><dc:coverage>Indiana</dc:coverage><dc:date>2010</dc:date></oai_dc:dc>
