Park Entrances [Michigan]
Description
This dataset was created in 2024 as part of an effort to understand the accessibility of core services throughout the SEMCOG region. The analysis included area in counties surrounding the SEMCOG region as residents may utilize services outside the region's boundary. This dataset was created using SEMCOG's park entrance points for the 7-county region, and was expanded to include parks over 100 acres in size in the surrounding counties. Supporting attribute data designates entrances as accessible by vehicles or by bicyclists and pedestrians. To locate parks outside the SEMCOG region, county-wide recreation plans for the surrounding Michigan counties were consulted, as well as the Toledo Metroparks for Lucas County.
