These are aggregations of TAZs with each FAZ containing between 1 and 20 TAZ. There are 219 of them in the 4-county region. FAZs are the units of the geographic boundary system used by PSRC to model and report its small area Forecasts of Population, Households, and Employment. The boundaries for this FAZ shapefile extend out into the water. For display and calculation purposes it would be better to use another version that has its boundaries clipped at the shoreline (faz2010_no_water.shp). Also although the number of FAZs didn`t change (219) from FAZ 2000 to FAZ 2010, the boundaries changed for some zones due to the transition from TAZ 2000 to TAZ 2010 geographies.</dc:description><dc:format>ArcGIS FeatureLayer</dc:format><dc:identifier>https://hub.arcgis.com/datasets/66cc290e28f44861ae7ec3658e23e490_0</dc:identifier><dc:language>eng</dc:language><dc:publisher>Puget Sound Regional Council Data Portal</dc:publisher><dc:rights>Public</dc:rights><dc:title>Forecast Analysis Zones 2010 [Washington (State)--Puget Sound Region]</dc:title><dc:type>Web services</dc:type><dc:coverage>Washington (State)--Puget Sound Region</dc:coverage><dc:coverage>Washington (State)</dc:coverage><dc:date>2010</dc:date></oai_dc:dc>
