The Michigan Department of Environment, Great Lakes, and Energy's (EGLE) Charge Up Michigan Program provides grant funding for strategic placement of electric vehicle charging stations throughout Michigan. Optimal locations and quantities for charging stations have been determined through a study conducted by Michigan State University titled Electric Vehicle Charger Placement Optimization in Michigan: Phase I - Highways and Tourism. EGLE has awarded grants for projects that coincide with this study's findings. This data layer represents all the charging stations that EGLE has funded in part through the Charge Up Michigan Program as of November 2021. The information provided in this data layer includes the project's node number as assigned by the Michigan State University study, application number, location, grantee, utility, equipment type, and equipment quantity. This data is used to gauge the extent of electric vehicle charging stations funded by the Charge Up Michigan Program. This data is regularly updated.Download this data directly onEGLE's Maps and Data Portal. For more information about this data, please contactLauren Magril atMagirlL@Michigan.gov.
