These were defined through the Regional Bicycle Barriers Study which identified and prioritized a series of barrier crossing improvement locations based on four analysis factors: safety/existing conditions, bicycle trip demand, bicycle network connectivity, and social equity. These barriers, along with the tiered Barrier Crossing Improvement Areas, are used in bicycle network planning and as a prioritizing criterion in the Regional Solicitation of federal transportation funds.</dc:description><dc:description>Purpose of the study was to indentify regionally significant physical barriers to daily bicycle travel and to identify &amp; prioritize locations for future barrier crossing improvements.</dc:description><dc:format>Files</dc:format><dc:identifier>us-mn-state-metc-trans-bike-barriers</dc:identifier><dc:language>eng</dc:language><dc:rights>Public</dc:rights><dc:title>Regional Bicycle Barriers [Minnesota]</dc:title><dc:type>Datasets</dc:type><dc:coverage>Minnesota--Anoka County</dc:coverage><dc:coverage>Minnesota--Carver County</dc:coverage><dc:coverage>Minnesota--Dakota County</dc:coverage><dc:coverage>Minnesota--Hennepin County</dc:coverage><dc:coverage>Minnesota--Ramsey County</dc:coverage><dc:coverage>Minnesota--Scott County</dc:coverage><dc:coverage>Minnesota--Washington County</dc:coverage><dc:coverage>Minnesota--Twin Cities Metropolitan Area</dc:coverage><dc:coverage>Minnesota</dc:coverage><dc:date>2022-01-25</dc:date><dc:contributor>Minnesota Geospatial Commons</dc:contributor></oai_dc:dc>
