Abstract
This line data layer represents roads for Waukesha County, Wisconsin in 2015. It is a feature class within the geodatabase, Waukesha_Roads_2015.gdb. [The addressed street centerlines are a subset of Waukesha County's planimetric mapping product covering the entire county and were compiled at a scale of 1" = 100'. The accuracy standard used is National Map Accuracy for 1" = 100' scale mapping. ]
Purpose
This layer is intended for reference and mapping purposes, and may be used for basic applications such as viewing, querying, and map output production, or to provide a basemap to support graphical overlays and analysis with other spatial data. [The addressed steet centerlines are intended to be used in Waukesha County's E-911 dispatch system as a base layers for address query and location.]

This metadata was updated to reflect that the data is no longer restricted and has been opened for public use. Augmented original metadata with UW-Madison specific elements. [These centerline features were extracted from the DTM product and represent pavement centerline. The data was compiled as part of the County Orthophotography project.]
