[GENERAL: This feature layer consists of the zoning polygons for the unincorporated areas of Dane County in which the associated town board has adopted the Dane County Zoning Ordinance. SHORELAND: This dataset is created to provide a representation of the Shoreland Zoning Districts, defined in the Dane County Ordinance - Chapter 11, Shoreland, Shoreland-Wetland and Inland-Wetlands Regulations. The dataset is broken down into four areas of regulation. The Shoreland District (Primary) regulates lands within 300 feet of a DNR designated river or stream, or lake or pond and lands within a FEMA 1% Annual Flood Plain. The Shoreland District (Secondary) regulates lands from 300 feet to 1,000 feet from DNR designated river or stream, or lake or pond. The Wetland District regulates lands within 75 feet of the DNR designated wetland.
