The range for the Northern long-eared bat in Tennessee was compiled by the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service (USFWS) from a database of occurrence records provided by various State and Federal resource agencies, and is represented using the North American Bat (NABat) Monitoring Program's 10 x 10 km (100 km) grid cell framework. The Northern long-eared bat range layer is publicly available to assist project proponents with early project scoping and coordination. Project proponents may use this layer to determine whether a project's footprint overlaps the Northern long-eared bat's range in Tennessee.
