Cook_County_GISThe 2009 election precinct feature class interprets the location and describes the boundaries of all election precincts in suburban townships in Cook County, Illinois. Suburban Cook County includes all municipalities except Chicago. A precinct, which is also called an election district, is an administrative unit for the election department to distribute election materials and resources, conduct elections, and to report election results. Each precinct has a specific polling place where its residents go to vote.
