Description
**UNOSAT code: FL20240820TCD, GDACS ID: 1102854** This map illustrates satellite-detected water extent in Koukou Angarana City, Kimiti Department, Sila Region, Chad as observed from a Pleiades satellite image acquired on 2 and 3 September 2024. Within the analysed cloud free area of about 115 km², a total of about 62 km² of lands appear to be affected by flood waters. Within the analysed area approximately 990 buildings (70%) in Chad are affected by the floodwaters. This is a preliminary analysis and has not yet been validated in the field.
