This dataset is intended to support national scale species distribution modeling efforts by documenting potential natural barriers to aquatic species' passage. This is a dataset of waterfalls at the national scale originally created by USGS for the CONUS found at this link . This dataset has been supplemented with local waterfall information from partners and data traded back to USGS. The data within this dataset and collected within this form is used in SARP's Aquatic Barrier Prioritization Tool (https://connectivity.sarpdata.com).
