Potential Soil Plug Locations, Little Yellow River Watershed, USFWS, Midwest Region, Neced [U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service]

Description:

Point feature along the path of the Neal Lateral Ditch, Avery Lateral Ditch and associated ditches. These ditches are artificially contributing water to the Little Yellow River and disabling them will restore wetland functioning and decrease downstream flooding. The points in this feature class represent potential, plausible, locations of soil plugs that could be installed in the ditches to disable flow. Ditch plugs could be constructed using soil in the existing spoil banks. Each point represents the approximate location of a 6 inch elevation change between the adjacent plugs.Point feature along the path of the Neal Lateral Ditch, Avery Lateral Ditch and associated ditches.
