This data is used as 1) a linear referencing system (LRS); 2) for locating features on the PCC system by milepost value. PCC lines were built using existing data sources including railroad line track charts, track right-of-way maps, and recently digitized linework based off aeiral photos. In LRS, the locations of both data and events are determined according to their distance along a railroad line from some known point (e.g., the beginning of the line or line segment, a mile marker, a junction with another rail line, or a railroad crossing).</dc:description><dc:format>ArcGIS DynamicMapLayer</dc:format><dc:identifier>https://hub.arcgis.com/datasets/40c2566639044dcfa69bf1deebf7a7de_7</dc:identifier><dc:language>eng</dc:language><dc:publisher>State of Washington Geospatial Open Data Portal</dc:publisher><dc:rights>Public</dc:rights><dc:title>WSDOT - Palouse River and Coulee City Rail System - Linear Reference System [Washington (State)]</dc:title><dc:type>Web services</dc:type><dc:coverage>Washington (State)</dc:coverage><dc:date>Last Modified: 2025-10-07</dc:date></oai_dc:dc>
