The students are tasked with performing water audits of their home, school, and local businesses that result in the identification of old and wasteful fixtures. The old fixtures are retrofitted with newer models that save energy and water, and the schools and businesses perform a postretrofit audit. This dataset summarizes the outputs and measurable results of the Water Champions Program that was implemented in the Cape May and Delaware Bayshore regions (2016-2022). It includes estimated numbers of gallons of water saved; reduction in metric tons of carbon dioxide equivalent (MTCO2e); dollars saved; number of devices installed; number of students engaged; number of parents or decision-makers who were influenced; number of school audits conducted; and number of water-saving measures taken by each school or business involved.</dc:description><dc:format>ArcGIS FeatureLayer</dc:format><dc:identifier>https://hub.arcgis.com/datasets/3bdf9879571d4aa8ae3639b877c5ef8e_0</dc:identifier><dc:language>eng</dc:language><dc:publisher>New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection's (NJDEP) Bureau of GIS</dc:publisher><dc:rights>Public</dc:rights><dc:title>Water Champion Metrics for New Jersey [New Jersey]</dc:title><dc:type>Web services</dc:type><dc:coverage>New Jersey</dc:coverage><dc:date>Last Modified: 2025-11-24</dc:date></oai_dc:dc>
