City of Tacoma GISThe In Lieu Sewer Assessment (Assessment) is a one-time assessment for the pro rata reimbursement to the City of Tacoma (City) for the costs associated with bringing sewer services to an area. In May 1963 the City passed Ordinance No. 17337 making every property in our City limits subject to an Assessment as a means of capturing this cost recovery and codified it under Tacoma Municipal Code (TMC) 12.08B.230.
