U.S. Fish & Wildlife ServiceMesic habitat was created by Dr. Nicholas Kolarik at Boise State University using Google Earth Engine to analyze remotely sensed Sentinel data in the Owyhee basin in Idaho. Google Earth Engine was used to filter on only Sage Core and Growth and remove Agricultural pixels. USFWS further refined this by creating and categorizing a mean mesic habitat score across the studied time period.
