U.S. Fish & Wildlife ServiceOften times, there are many dams that exist on the landscape that are not currently inventoried by state and federal agencies. This is a layer for QAQC by USFS Region 6 forest biologists, to identify unknown dams on their landscape, as well as determine the potential social feasibility of removal of these barriers on USFS lands. Dams were generated by combining state datasets, USFS WRU dataset, NID, dam estimation using NHD, and aerial observation. The purpose of this layer is to create a comprehensive list of dams on USFS region 6 lands, to include smaller structures. All barriers QAQC'd here will be a part of SARP's larger database, and uploaded into the SARP barrier prioritization tool at https://connectivity.sarpdata.com.
