[This dataset represents shipwrecks in the Great Lakes of Wisconsin as points in shapefile format. It is compiled from the shipwreck database maintained by the Wisconsin Historical Society. More information about the shipwreck database is available here (http://maritimetrails.org/about_shipwreck_database.php).]
Purpose
This layer is intended for reference and mapping purposes, and may be used for basic applications such as viewing, querying, and map output production, or to provide a basemap to support graphical overlays and analysis with other spatial data.
