Washington State Geospatial PortalThe summaries are derived from the Ecopia vector land cover dataset (a non-public resource) and not from the Ecopia raster land cover dataset available on this open data site. Percentages for each land cover type were calculated as compared to Ecopia's total delineated area per summary polygon: sum_area_land_cover_type / sum_area_all_Ecopia_delineated_polygons_<within each summary polygon> Some land cover types (forest canopy overlap and bridges) overlap other land cover types. If one were to sum the percentages presented in the tables for any particular summary polygon, it likely will not equal 100 percent. Some summary polygons boundaries overlap Puget Sound or other open water. Since these areas are not delineated by Ecopia they are left out of the percentage calculations. These layers may not have polygons that are an exact match to their original sources (like WRIAs or census tracts, etc). Percentages are presented as decimals.
