For this redistricting, the apportionment is the same as for the previous, 2012 redistricting, resulting in the same number of Congressional Districts; however the boundaries have changed significantly. This version of the layer uses high-quality base map spatial data published by the State of New Jersey, instead of U.S. Census Bureau geographic data (TIGER.) Where no higher-quality data were available, the TIGER lines were used. This layer, which overlays correctly the highest quality municipal boundary data for New Jersey is an unofficial version; by law, the official version is based on U.S. Census data (geographic and demographic.)</dc:description><dc:format>ArcGIS FeatureLayer</dc:format><dc:identifier>https://hub.arcgis.com/datasets/2d5a9cbb86da4519899ff56e4d094f4c_1</dc:identifier><dc:language>eng</dc:language><dc:publisher>New Jersey Geographic Information Network (NJGIN) Open Data Portal</dc:publisher><dc:rights>Public</dc:rights><dc:title>Congressional Districts of NJ, Hosted, 3857 [New Jersey]</dc:title><dc:type>Web services</dc:type><dc:coverage>New Jersey</dc:coverage><dc:date>Last Modified: 2025-04-10</dc:date></oai_dc:dc>
