As part of the project, the County developed an accurate coordinate control base for this mapping system. The 27 existing State and Federal first order accuracy positions in Ramsey County were densified by a GPS (Global Positioning System) Network of 171 second order accuracy positions. The first order positions were established and recorded on existing public land survey corner monuments and accessory monuments throughout the county. Second order control points were used as fixed positions in a county wide least squares adjustments to establish coordinate controls and the floating PLSS corner positions. The RMS error is generally less than 0.08 feet.</dc:description><dc:format>ArcGIS FeatureLayer</dc:format><dc:identifier>https://hub.arcgis.com/datasets/2d1a42a1425942af8154ef5df9b51207_26</dc:identifier><dc:language>eng</dc:language><dc:publisher>Ramsey County Open Data</dc:publisher><dc:rights>Public</dc:rights><dc:title>Control Corners [Minnesota--Ramsey County]</dc:title><dc:type>Web services</dc:type><dc:coverage>Minnesota--Ramsey County</dc:coverage><dc:coverage>Minnesota</dc:coverage><dc:date>Last Modified: 2022-08-24</dc:date></oai_dc:dc>
