Abstract
This data layer represents 911 Public Safety Answering Point (PSAP) service area boundaries in Clark County, Wisconsin in 2020. According to the National Emergency Number Association (NENA), a Public Safety Answering Point (PSAP) is a facility equipped and staffed to receive 9-1-1 calls. The service area is the geographic area within which a 911 call placed using a landline is answered at the associated PSAP. [The emergency service number layer is used primarily for emergency purposes. It provides details on who responds for a fire, ambulance and first responder. The value assigned to a zone is also assigned to the addresses that fall within that zone.]
Purpose
[This layer provides reference for emergency responders. It shows the boundaries of the emergency districts, and who responds in each zone based on the type of emergency.]
