It is generated from the legacy street network and updated as needed by Public Works staff. Latest updates are based on Tacoma City Council Ordinance No. 28825 passed in August 2022. This ordinance lowered the default speed limit on residential streets from 25 miles per hour to 20 miles per hour and lowered the speed limit from 30 miles per hour to 25 miles per hour on arterial streets in four Neighborhood Business Districts, including 6th Avenue, Lincoln, McKinley Hill, and Old Town. New speed limits represented in this dataset go into effect on January 1, 2023.
