Abstract
This polygon data layer represents land use for Calumet County, Wisconsin in 2015. It is a feature class within the geodatabase, Calumet_LandUse_2015.gdb.[Land use is a very important aspect of a county, especially when it comes to planning for future and current projects. For Calumet County there are 10 broad categories that land use can fall within. Land use also falls under sub categories, which can be found in the reference booklet or the attribute table of this data. The 10 broad categories are as follows: Agriculture, Other Open Land, Water, Woodlands, Residential, Commercial, Industrial, Utility, Institutional, and Recreational. The full description on how these categories are assigned to a specific land use can be found in the reference booklet. ]
Purpose
This layer is intended for reference and mapping purposes, and may be used for basic applications such as viewing, querying, and map output production, or to provide a basemap to support graphical overlays and analysis with other spatial data. [The purpose for this data is to get a detailed view of the land use for Calumet County, located in east central Wisconsin on the north/east portion of Lake Winnebago. Land use is defined under East Central Wisconsin Regional Planning Commision's NAICS based regional land use coding scheme. This data is updated in March of 2013 and can be compared to previous years done to see change in land use for a county, town, or even a specific area of a township. It must be noted that this information is NOT field verified and is based off aerial imagery. Data is assumed to be consistent and accurate to the highest possible level, but is NOT guaranteed. ]

Resource Constraints
Use Limitation
[Some data is large enough to be used at a county level, but mostly just for analysis on acreage counts. As you get to heavily populated areas you will have to zoom in to a larger scale. One items of note though is if you zoom in to far the imagery can blur, so be mindful of your extent.]
