WADOHThis feature layer shows the languages spoken at home by students in Pre-K through Grade 12 in Washington public schools. This shows where culturally and linguistically diverse communities live across Washington State. It can help schools and other organizations identify where translation, interpretation, and language-access services are most needed. Communities most affected include multilingual households, immigrant and refugee families, Tribal communities, and students who rely on language-access services to fully participate in school and community life. The data were obtained through a public records request to the Washington State Office of Superintendent of Public Instruction (OSPI). The 2025 "Languages Spoken at Home" data are displayed using 2024 Washington State school district boundaries. This layer includes all public school districts, as well as charter districts and Tribal compact schools. Data caveat: Language data are updated at irregular intervals as new information becomes available. This feature layer may not be updated at the same frequency.
