Description
The Forest Inventory Diameter Distribution table shows the trees per acre by two-inch diameter class for the species present within a stand from the last inventory activity capable of that assessment. Forest diameter distributions are a fundamental data set for assessing stand conditions. They provide actionable intelligence for determining present and possible management as well potential outcomes, such as timber harvest analysis and post treatment conditions. This information is especially critical for stands scheduled for intermediate treatments such as commercial thinning. Data can also be useful for assessing tree species retention within even and uneven-aged managed stands and cover-types., Stand marketability assessment, habitat assessment, tree species retention stand structural characteristics, timber harvest analysis, silvicultural treatment assessment., Time Period of Content date indicates the date which the user can be confident of accuracy and completeness of the dataset.
