Together, we work to restore longleaf pine ecosystems on private and public forestlands in the state of Texas. The Texas Longleaf Taskforce was created in 2010 to promote the restoration of Longleaf pine on private and public forestlands in the state of Texas. The Taskforce started as a broad stakeholder group of private landowners, state and federal agencies, and industry members. It included non-profit organizations such as The Nature Conservancy, Texas Forestry Association, and the National Wild Turkey Federation and now has over 250 participants. The TLT mission is to promote the maintenance and restoration of the longleaf pine ecosystem on private and public forestlands, including its cultural and economic values, through a collaborative network of diverse stakeholders and working groups. Find and connect interested land owners to funding and assistance programs for longleaf. The administrative planning boundary for the TLT consists of the East Texas counties that align generally with the historic range of Longleaf pine (Pinus palustris) in the state. With regards to TLT's relationship to the Lower Mississippi Valley Joint Venture (LMVJV) partnership, since 2021 the LMVJV considers and functions as if the TLT network, partnership and focus area all are a Conservation Delivery Network (CDN) partnership of the LMVJV.</dc:description><dc:format>ArcGIS FeatureLayer</dc:format><dc:identifier>https://hub.arcgis.com/datasets/114b6abfcb894fc9b8c53656219fb8fb_0</dc:identifier><dc:language>eng</dc:language><dc:publisher>U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service Open Data</dc:publisher><dc:rights>Public</dc:rights><dc:title>TLIT boundary [United States]</dc:title><dc:type>Web services</dc:type><dc:coverage>United States</dc:coverage><dc:date>Last Modified: 2024-08-30</dc:date></oai_dc:dc>
