In the latest iteration, the layers NoSprayZones_Point, NoSprayZones_Line, and No_Spray_Poly were used to create one polygon version. The NoSprayZones_Point layer consisted of point locations for wood stork colonies from 2010 - 2019, this layer was buffered 1500 feet. This distance is identified as the Primary zone in an Army Corps of Engineers guidance document (Habitat Management Guidelines for the Wood Stork in the Southeast Region) and is also referenced in the Wood Stork Effect Determination Key (USFWS, 2010). The NoSprayZones_Line layer consisted of critical habitat line features (streams) for freshwater mussels, Gulf sturgeon, and nesting loggerhead sea turtles. Freshwater mussel and Gulf sturgeon line features were buffered 500 feet. Loggerhead sea turtle line features were not included because this species also has features in the critical habitat polygon layer that cover the same areas. The No_Spray_Poly layer was created from several sources the main one being critical habitat polygon features. Other layers include 23 listed plants (created from Florida Natural Areas Inventory element occurrences), Florida grasshopper sites, sensitive areas for invertebrates in South Florida, and sensitive areas for wood storks and flatwood salamanders in Northwest Florida. In addition, a layer of areas that are part of the National Wildlife Refuge System was included.</dc:description><dc:format>ArcGIS FeatureLayer</dc:format><dc:identifier>https://hub.arcgis.com/datasets/0f4f21318476499c9f2a633a8c1aab08_0</dc:identifier><dc:language>eng</dc:language><dc:publisher>U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service Open Data</dc:publisher><dc:rights>Public</dc:rights><dc:title>No Spray Zones Florida [United States]</dc:title><dc:type>Web services</dc:type><dc:coverage>United States</dc:coverage><dc:date>Last Modified: 2024-10-16</dc:date></oai_dc:dc>
