U.S. Fish & Wildlife ServiceThe US Fish and Wildlife Service's (USFWS) Fisheries and Aquatic Conservation (FAC) program, Northeast region obtained stream gaging data for the Northeast region from the US Geological Survey (USGS). Low-head concrete weirs were identified due to their potential threat to migratory fish species. USGS provided data from their internal Site Information Management System (SIMS), and the data was queried by USFWS to develop a list of 560 sites within the Northeast.
