- These data layers represent zoning boundaries for Langlade County, Wisconsin in 2018. It is a feature class within the geodatabase Langlade_Zoning_2018.gdb. The feature layers included in this geodatabase are "FarmPresDATCP", "FP_Overlay", and "Zoning".[FarmPresDATCP: This layer represents farmland preservation areas in Langlade County, Wisconsin referenced to the Wisconsin Transverse Mercator System (WTM) GCS_North_American_1983_HARN.FP_Overlay: Layer created for Langlade County's Farmland Preservation Zoning Ordinance Update.Zoning: Original Zoning Boundaries for Langlade County, WI were derived from older paper maps updated at least annually by the Zoning Office. One of the first digital layers which are the source of today’s Zoning Layer Map was completed October 28, 2013 by the North Central Regional Planning Commission. That digital layer is a compilation of those older records, information and data and is intended for reference purposes only. An important note is the Zoning Map was completed first by hand and then digitally a number of years prior to a full Parcel digital map was in place in December 2017. An ongoing effort to align the zoning maps to the parcels is being made.]
- Purpose
- This layer is intended for reference and mapping purposes, and may be used for basic applications such as viewing, querying, and map output production, or to provide a basemap to support graphical overlays and analysis with other spatial data. [FarmPresDATCP: This data layer is for use in generalized mapping applications. The data layer is intended for use with GIS software. The GIS data has been provided in support of a request for certification of a farmland preservation plan. FP_Overlay: Layer created for Langlade County's Farmland Preservation Zoning Ordinance Update. Zoning: This information is intended to be used primarily for the representation of Langlade County Zoning for all townships that have adopted County Zoning. This includes the Townships of Ackley, Ainsworth, Antigo, Elcho, Neva, Norwood, Parrish, Peck, Price, Polar, Rolling, Vilas and Wolf River. Enforcement is done by the Langlade County Zoning Department through the use of the adopted Langlade County Zoning Ordinance. The remaining townships which do not fall under County Zoning still need to abide by the Zoning Standards for use of Shorelands along Navigable Waters set for by the DNR.]
