UN Operational Satellite Applications Programme (UNOSAT)**UNOSAT code: TC20220201MDG** This map illustrates satellite-detected surface waters in Amboasary-Atsimo and Taolagnaro districts, Anosy region, Madagascar as of 8 February 2022 at 05:21 local time. The flood analysis were carried out by using an automated analysis with Artificial Intelligence based methods. Within the analyzed area of about 2,700 km2, about 30 km2 of lands appear to be flooded. Based on Worldpop population data and the detected surface waters, about 3,000 people are potentially exposed or living close to flooded areas.
